Although bald eagles can't swim, they will cross water with out flying over it. They will sit within the water and row themselves throughout with their wings, in keeping with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Bald eagles have no sense of scent, however they will style. For instance, if a bald eagle thinks that its food tastes spoiled, it won't eat it.
