C. 1. Any offense below the laws of any international country or any political subdivision thereof or the United States or any political subdivision thereof that's much like (i) any Tier I, II, or III offense or (ii) homicide as defined on this part shall require registration and reregistration in accordance with this chapter in a fashion per the registration and reregistration obligations imposed by the similar offense listed or outlined on this part, except such offense requires extra stringent registration and reregistration obligations below the laws of the jurisdiction the place the offender was convicted. Any person required to register or reregister who enters any place or facility that's designated by the Commonwealth or any political subdivision thereof as an emergency shelter and operated in response to a state or native emergency declared pursuant to Chapter 3.2 (§ 44-146.13 et seq.) of Title forty four shall, as quickly as practicable after entry, notify a member of the emergency shelter's workers who is answerable for offering security on the emergency shelter that such person is a registered sex offender. Every particular person serving a sentence of confinement on or after July 1, 1994, for a conviction of an offense set forth in § 9.1-902 shall register, reregister, and confirm his registration info as required by this chapter.
