Rather than explain the scientific basis for his or her selections, politicians and unelected bureaucrats merely repeated empty slogans such as ‘Better secure than sorry’ and ‘We’re all in this collectively.’ In April 2020, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo famously stated, in defending his statewide lockdown policy, ‘If it saves just one life, I’ll be completely satisfied.’ This absurd fallacy grew to become the basis for a lot of destructive policies to come, most of which completed little or nothing and, in actual fact, really cost many American lives. What makes the disproportionate response to Covid all the extra tragic and absurd is that the pandemic is predicated on a gigantic lie. But then the Democrats and liberal journalists obtained caught in an ever more hysterical overreaction to Covid. However, when - in early 2022 - the Democrats lastly realized that public opinion was turning against them, they proceeded to take the identical steps themselves, to loud media applause.
